The Fixer to screen live in-person at The Micheaux Film Festival 2021
The Micheaux Film Festival 2021 has officially secured a venue for in-person live screenings and will be making history as the first film festival to screen in theaters in Los Angeles since the statewide shut-down!

The virtual festival will take place from Monday, April 26th — Thursday, April 29th and the in-person physical festival will occur Friday, April 30th — Sunday, May 2nd at AMC Century City 15 in Los Angeles.
The awards ceremony will be held on Sunday, May 2nd at 6:30pm, honoring the legendary Robert Townsend with the Oscar Micheaux Trailblazer of Excellence Award.

IN-PERSON SCREENING SCHEDULE
Over 50 selected films will screen live on Friday, April 30th and Saturday, May 1st, 2021. All in-person screenings will take place at AMC Century City 15 in Los Angeles.
Michael Schilf’s award-winning crime thriller The Fixer will close out the live screenings on Saturday, May 1 as the final film during the 8:15PM Block. See the links below for the full schedule of live screenings.
MICHEAUX AWARDS CEREMONY
The Micheaux Film Festival 3rd annual Awards Ceremony will take place at AMC Century City 15 at 6:30pm on Sunday, May 2, 2021. The red carpet will open at 5:15PM.
The Micheaux Film Festival will be honoring legendary filmmaker, Robert Townsend with the Oscar Micheaux Trailblazer of Excellence Award, which will be presented to him by the direct descendants of Oscar Micheaux.
The Awards Ceremony will also recognize over 35+ filmmakers from The Micheaux Film Festival 2021, two of which will receive the coveted Panavision $60k and $15k grant!
The show will include live performances, spoken word, and a lot of disruption!
